I installed miranda and am trying to run it, but can't seem to get it to work. I entered my AIM screenname and password, and tried to search for contacts, but it couldn't connect. Do I need to manually connect somehow in miranda, or shouldn't it connect automatically when I start the program. I have a high speed campus connection, so it should just work, right? I even tried the proxy settings, but to no avail. Am I out of luck , or just incredibly stupid and missing the obvious "Connect" button somewhere?
After you input your screen name and password, and hit apply on the options, exit miranda and start it back up. By default, (I think) it should automatically connect on startup. If not, that is in the options too.

yea i posted the same thing (pretty much) a few weeks ago, it was the 2nd time id posted, LOL. ive never in a year gotten the damn program to work, only thing that works is msn. can never get irc or aim to work (i dont use the others) i tried everything, even connecting to different aol servers/proxies/whatever and still nothing. i gave up again and still use all the programs seperate.
