Brillant - best shoot em up ever!! an i mean it - i never thought that much of it when i first got it - i just cleared it out in easy then never played - but recently i got surround sound it and i started palying it again ,and on legendary mode - and it's fuckin amazing (still havent beat it yet - really hard but really fun - a gr8 challeange and ie never been bet in multi -player yet lol
Best shooter period. Awsome storyline, awsome gameplay, awsome secrets, awsome level design, awsome character design. I think The Wizard hit it right on "Brilliant"
Can't wait til November 4th i think it was when Halo 2 comes out. It's just going to be beyond anything.

secrets ... i've finished it tonnes on legendary ("pat my ass scene", see yeah i did finish it on hard) and never knew about any secrets ... awesome game, i'll give them that much. like all fps it gets to you after a 6 hour slog. SECRETS?
i've got the xbox version, i don't know if the pc version has secrets. but if the xbox version has secrets please share 'cus i'm currently on Truth and Reconciliation on Legendary ___________ marz.
hahhaha.. i'm talking about getting on top of pretty much every level, getting cars, tanks on top of levels. Finding stuff that bungie wrote in blood, all kinds of stuff. The game is so fun to explore. Thats why i said the level designs are amazing. What about the level were there is the light bridge. Have any of you been at the bottom of that. It's pretty creepy :P

Then you have the secret room in the ceiling in Chiron TL-34 multiplayer map
Damnation Multiplayer map has a great view from the top. You can snipe everyone
Obviously the greatest map Blood Gulch where you can get so high into the air your pretty much in space :P
Sidewinder - you can get a couple of cars on top of the level and it's pretty fun.
There is a lot of fun things you can do. It's just about exploring the game to the fullest. If you havn't done any of these and your halo game is just lying around. return it.. lol oh and this is all from the xbox version. I havn't tried the pc, but i'm sure most of it would be the same.
ohh those. yeah all that stuff discovered and exploited man times shocks :) halo is the greatest. try piling a bunch of grenades under the warthog (get a teamate to run you over a couple times and leave your grenades under it) grab an overshield, chuck a grenade under it and climb in and see how high you can get :)

A nice game you can play with a bunch of friends is Warthog flip. Me and my friend were bored and me made it up.
Basically pick the blood gulch level with race mode so every person has a car and each person gets in and starts raming each other and say player 1 flips player 2 over, player 1 gets a point and so on.. Sometimes the cars hit each other with extreme inpact and the cars go flying including yourself. It's fun :D
Here are some ways to take Blood Gulch up another notch:
1) Nobody can use their guns, you can only kill people using the Warthog. It's crazy enough in two-player when the drivers are flipping each other then mowing each other down, but when you play four-players, two people are stuck playing the role of deranged bullfighters. Fun, tense stuff.
2) 'Joust'. 2v2 deathmatch, rockets only. The team driver charges the other Warthog head on, while the gunner sits in the passenger seat firing rockets. You haven't lived until you've tried to pick off a moving Warthog from the passenger seat of a moving Warthog, all the while hoping to GOD your driver is good enough to dodge the *other* guy's rockets.
3) 'Death Race'. This one is a bit trickier to get going because it requires a group of people willing to play by 'house rules'. Needs at LEAST eight people to be fun, but 12-16 is ideal. Bases are 'off limits' and two players are 'referees' charged with keeping people out of the bases (with shotguns, natch). Two people take warthogs, while everyone else can't fire their weapons and basically run for their lives. The winners are A) The driver who gets the most kills, and B) The 'target' who gets hit the least.
'Death Race' is tough to get going, but worth it once you do. As a target, you're constantly on the run trying to find a clever hiding spot. As a driver, well... what could be more fun than mowing down unarmed targets? But the refs have the most fun by far, blowing away anyone who gets to close to the base, and sniping anyone who makes the mistake of trying to fire their weapon.
And yes. My friends and I have been logging 20 hours or so a week on Halo since it came out. -_-
Around these parts, Prisoner is THE rockets level. Between the level naturally creating a choke-point at the bottom floor, and the risk/reward playoff of going for the invisibilty pickup in the center of the level, the balance is just right.
Longest has to be one of my LEAST favorite stages, between the darkness and the straight-shot level design, it opens up too many camping opportunities. Good levels discourage camping, imo.
Bungie really should have put together a Halo 1.5 release for us with online play and some new maps.
Hang'em High is probably my favourite map, just for the fact that it's open but you can still hide in places :P and because i'm amazing with the pistol :D
