idioRamp for Winamp 2.9x & 5.x (Please test it out!)
|
idioRamp is a personal program that I have developed to better my musical listening experience with Winamp.
For all the Winamp users out there, I'd greatly appreciate it if you ladies and gents would test this out and provide me with feedback about what you all thought about it. To download, visit the official web site at http://jon.digitalrice.com
Here's a documentation and a view of my program: Inspired by bordem, idioRamp gives you the ease of executing Winamp functions, such as play, pause, stop, and fast-forward, using simple commands inputted into the command console.
For example, if you'd like to play a song by Beethoven you would input the command "p beethoven." From there if there is one match that one track will play. If there are more than one matches a multiple matches dialog will pop up.
For users with giant playlists, this will definitely make your life easier.
> Requires Winamp 2.91 and higher for the 2.x versions or Winamp 5.0 and higher for the 5.x versions (Does NOT support Winamp 3.0) > Download Winamp at http://www.winamp.com. > Includes 16 Winamp commands and 2 program commands. > Extensive command list. > Multiple matches dialog makes it easy to make your selection. > Log window let's you know what's happening. > Roll up feature keeps the program compact, but just as effective. > Ability to read playlist by filename or title. > Update feature lets you know if idioRamp is up to date. > And many more feature! And with that, I leave the rest to you all
Regards, Jonathan

Unfortunate that some of you folks find my program to be "useless," I find it a lot easier to use than using the jump feature on Winamp, it's a lot more compact, and you can do a lot more with my program.
Anyhow for those of you who are interested, I have updated it to version 1.2. I fixed a handful of bugs with some of the commands and added 3 more commands. Check it out at http://jon.digitalrice.com
And Aero, thanks for the advice. I submitted it, let's hope that it goes through. :)
