pfftt.. been growing my hair for almost a year already. no matter what the parents say, they really can't do anything about it. Either that or come back with a kick ass MOHAWK!
I want to snapshot myself (as vain as it sounds), I've got to get my friend to let me borrow his digital camera so I can take pictures of myself. I don't have one yet.
same prob man, been growing mine for 6 months (something close to an ex-stoner from the 80's) till last week when i was told (you know parents) to get a hair-cut, i returned with little or no hair on my head (shave # 1). its a statement, that i didn't want a bloody haircut now they have to wear the fact i look like a neo-nazi now.
Last time I cut my year-old hair, I cut it short and dyed it blond and my mom thinks I'm just one of my friends helping her with the bag (she just arrived)
thats a pretty good way of rubbing it in. wyn; post your pic, make a poll. even if you did cut it, it will grow back you know, i've been through the same thing and it just got to the point where i'd just get real tired of hearing; mum: "when are going to get a hair cut" "you look stupid get a haircut" "I know your father had the same afro when i met him, but you look stupid - get a fuckin haircut", ex-girlfriend: "if you really love me you'd cut your hair", "it would really mean the world to me if you cut that bush on your head". so yeah, iv'e given up on growing it. but like i said, it'll grow back eventually. ______________.. syxx visionleague™
Thanks for the support. They've been pressuring me already for a long time..I'm not going to survive past this weekend..My whole argument is that it's not even that long. It's like maybe 2.5 or 3 inches..but it's curly and looks nice I think..well, ONE of my parents (mommy) hates it, but I think my dad would be cool with it for a little longer..I'm the baby of the family so I got to use some charm or something!
Got to get that camera!

Got a Haircut about a month ago...(about 5 inches before!!!)...works fine...i think your mom is not the only women who likes short hairs ;-) ..you have accept that...mathematicaly(or so...):

Besides, it would be totally illogical to disobey my parents. After all-- I live with them. And they pay for everything. Clothes, food, car, insurance, gas, drums, and everything else..I have awesome parents! So I really can't be like 'ya'll treat me bad blah blah i don't have any freedom.' They're just sticklers about hair!!
you're 18 right? Time to get your own apartment, pay for your own food, car, insurance, etc. I'll bet your mom even does your laundry. Time to grow up and decide for yourself when you should get a haircut.
I don't work. My parents pay for everything-- as long as I live with them. I'd probably need a roommate to split an apartment bill with (apartments that meet my standards of course) but I don't think that'd work.
I don't want to live with some slacker dude who's not as clean as I..as lame as that sounds..that'd probably drive me insane. I'm obsessive compuslive when it comes to my enviornment..
...cut it already... as long as there still enough left to mold it around when you are outta the box...opps I meant the house. My parents stop telling me how to look/dress/do hair etc right after I turn 12. (as in very long time ago) Go figures.

Yeah ive been growing my hair for about 20 months now and have to cut it for work. Its about 42 cm long, i measured it. lol. Gonna miss it, but ill get over it. Youve only been growing it for 5 months.
+ Females been looking my way less and less over the period of time its been growing. I think its time to cut it. lol.
haircuts aren't so bad dude... they're not evil.. i remember i had my hair cut really short -- not that i wanted it short, but... yeah. turned out to be not so bad...
