I've been using Trillian for quite a while now, and it's starting to tick me off. It never gives me any error messages when I can't connect; File Transfer VIA Yahoo dosen't work, and neither does voice chat or webcams.
I'm wondering if Miranda IM is better or not. Please convince me either way.

There is no Miranda vs Trillian. Miranda is just better period. Trillian is big and ugly and it's a pain in the ass to skin. Download Miranda and see for yourself.
what heylove said, without the period. miranda is still a bitch to skin. though its not how you use it, its what you use it for that makes miranda alot more powerful app with various plugins available for download.
i used to use trillian pro, with no problems, but yes, it is a bitch to skin. I eventually switched to Miranda and made a customized version of AIM incase i need to do filetransfers or whatnot
pisses me off how your contacts must be sorted alphabetically or by status in miranda. I want to sort them how I want. btiches. oh, and no away messages. in miranda
the new trillian 3 has video chat and audio chat integrated ... now it's alpha, but in a few months ... i've been testing it for 2 weeks now ... it kicks ass ... trillian 2 is no challenge (and miranda too)
