i like it. its super inexpensive, more or less fully functional, and tiny. a screen would be nice, but i like the price more. also, liquachu - there is a slider on the back that goes from shuffle to repeat to normal play.
i just wish it had a "next playlist" button. that would make finding what you want to listen to a lot quicker. as it stands, i can see a looooot of clickclickclicking to get to the next album in your playlist. _ _ _
interesting thing though, is that that 'warning' only appears on the US and the UK site.... seems that apple doesn't want to get sued in those country like mcdonalds was in the us... that absurd boiling-coffee story with that even more absurd sum of cash Mc had to pay....
and gosh, the macmini is sooo sexy, ghaaa.. /drools
Yeah, we totally need more frivolous lawsuits clogging up our legal system. Let's save the morons who can't hold a cup of coffee by suing a corporation just because it has more money than we do, and therefore deserves to be sued. Right.
If you're talking about the Power Mac G5, you're completely wrong in terms of compactness. If you're referring to the iMac G5, not everyone wants to buy a new monitor along with a new computer. And in both cases, not everyone needs a mid- or high-end computer.
Apple is starting to piss me off, they are just pulling stuff out of thier asses, i mean why did they make the shuffle? The iPod was and still is HUGE! Shuffle is pointless, you can't even see what is playing.
It's an entry-level MP3 player, and when compared to other MP3 players of similar type and price, it isn't bad at all. Cost is a pretty big factor when it comes to making a purchase.
Jairo, I think you are failing to grasp the nature of the business. If there are markets that Apple can enter and make a profit, they are duty-bound to their shareholders to do so. Apple has a lot of consumer confidence built up by the the iPod, but not everyone can afford one. Hence the Shuffle. Those less well off get a product with the iPod logo and Apple shareholders get the return on investment they expect. Everyone's happy, except you. If Apple could be Microsoft, they would be.
