well im not no anti-winamp3 kinda guy ya know, but like nobody seems to make winamp3 skins anymore, or ever have. its funny though how people still stick with 2x, and we all know why... don't we?

Winamp 3 is cool and the skinning possibilites are cool but WA 3 itself, and its skins take up too much reasources. Some of the skins can be over 1 MB large. thats way too much for a stinkin winamp 3 skin.
Winamp 3 is still beta, so understand it's high suck factor right now. Hopefully they're realize the thing that draws people to Winamp 2.x in favor of most others - high customizing w/o sacrificing ease-of-use.
I like to hear music when I work in PS or 3DSM, but when I use this resource devouring app everything seems to run slower. (Like with Sonique) Hope they'll change that in the final version. Winamp2 rules... :)
lol you said it craeonics. i met this guy a few days ago, claimed to be a really damn good skinner, that he's the 1337est there is, etc etc. So i check out what he had. His skin borweser had millions of skins, almost ALL photoskins. He had dloaded like the entire winamp.com skin db and claimed to be good by using this app called "skinner".
This was my first bump into any skinning porg at all. Choose file, click make skin. Done. Fucking obnoxious.
like everyone has said, win winamp3 comes out, more skins and such. but for now, winamp2 is fine. although it would be nice to see freeform from the guys over at winamp. i like winamps vis and stuff.

according to their "sonique2 faq" the sonique team was bought by lycos and all of the people who made the orginal sonique left and now theres a new, smaller, and totally different team working on soinque2. sounds like a death sentence for sonique. we'll just have to see what happens...
I haven't bothered looking into it, but I wouldn't be too surprised to find the WA3 freeform skins to be a lot like K-Jofol. This only based on the fact that K-Jofol died because it's creator went to work for NullSoft of course..

but speak of restricted winamp2 skins; i just decided to draft up a little something as a skin, just to say i cans kin winamp too. Anyone got a good site with guidelines on how to make em as well as all picture sizes, eventual exra thingies to write up, whatever?
