Anyone knows a better program plz. With animator you have to start from scratch, or... if i made a animated gif-sequence i have to convert every frame to bitmap to use it in animator (i think). So if you can provide a little more info, i would be delighted. THX.

scissor-hands, there was (maybe still is) a product by ... jasc, the developers of paint shop pro. not sure what it's called or whether it's still in development but back 3 years ago their animation software was pretty shmik for a beginner like me.
qwertz - it's still in development, it's called animation shop pro and comes with paint shop pro.. i used it for some gif animations, dunno if it works with icons.. scythar - i've never seen an animated .ico file, and i have a feeling that's the only file format you can use as an icon for anything in your os.. animated cursors - yes, animated folders - no.. if you want to try something else for icons/cursors - axialis.com
axialis works really good, and can coop real fine with photoshop. The GUI is also very sleek (in comparision with microangelo), you can see that it was developped for mac too :). And your wright, by default (and definition) .ICO files are static, but via microagelo i noticed there was a option to make .ANI files and use them with folders.
There are too possibilities for making the .ANI files: cursor (hot spots, only small resolution) or as folders and then there not hotspots, but the resolution supported is 48x48. So thats why i was wondering to make these maybe in another program that supports gif import.
iconutils does, but only support the cursor version.
