Changing system icons in Litestep?

Avatar-50x50
Agent Orange says:

I ususally use iconpackager to change my icons, because it's usually fairly painless. Now that I'm using litestep, though, some of my icons refuse to change. mostly being the default folder icon, and all of the drive icons in my computer. The funny thing is, if I switch to explorer as a shell, they ARE all changed, but once I'm back in litestep, they show default.

Is this a known issue? Are there any work arounds other than res hacking?

Any info is appreciated. thanks.

Pretty much the only way to customize all your icons to your liking while using LS is to reshack shell32. Because icon packager is specifically desinged for explorer and looks for explorer when the icons are being changed, you cant change the icons while using LS because there is no explorer. Hope that is understandable.

As stated, you need to reshack icons in order to change them all when using litestep.

You could always use the Tango Patcher: http://vertigosity.deviantart.com/art/Tango-Patcher-2600-8-0
