FrostedFlames has deleted 2 of my wallpapers from here in the last 2 weeks because they 'were not up to customize.org quality standards'. I asked why and was told he did not have time to help every single person with their work and to post links to them on here for feedback, so here they are:
Whilst i'm not saying these are amazing images, I disagree with the fact they are not good enough to be on the site. If they were deleted because of the apparent suicide themes then fair enough, that's all I needed to be told. Any feedback would be welcome.
basically as they are wel.. random and need a lot of jaggies and mnor fautls removing.. looks like you just threw together lots of images.. still i don't make wallpapers so i can't crit you a lot
nah its cool i dont mind criticism at all. The one with the guy on the cliff was definately rushed and the cops, especially in the forground, need re-texturing. I wouldn't have minded them getting crap ratings and feedback as to why, just dont think they should have been deleted unless they were upsetting or offending someone!

suck up that ego, get a review of your submission on the forums/chatroom with an external url then, once you and the community are confident that what you've produced is on par then submit using the custo submission service for a greater reception. makes sense.
i have no ego and I never said they were good, however some of the walls on here are a lot worse or straight copied and remain, hence my confusion. Anyway thanks for the feedback.
now i'm only guessing, as i'm not frosty and neither is anyone else except him, it wasn't your topic which resulted in the termination of your submission, it was your execution. contact frosty again, i'm sure he'll be more receptive if you ask specific questions.
Care to show us some of these "straight copied" wallpapers?
Original and duplicate, please. I think it's safe to say not many of us here like the idea of plagiarized work.
As for wallpapers that are "a lot worse" one or more of any of the following factors may be involved:
1. The wallpaper was created some time ago, and back then, it was kickass. Hence, it remains. 2. The wallpaper may be simple, but it's very easily themed around. Since this is a UI customization website, "themability" is a big plus. 3. The staff member who reviewed the wallpaper thought it was good, but didn't think as highly of your wallpaper.
Since you believe your wallpapers are good enough to be allowed to remain here, link us to some wallpapers you believe are worse than yours. Maybe we can tell you why that wallpaper was allowed to stay, and give you pointers for future submissions.
4. The staff members dont all necessarily share the same opinions. Ex: something admin 1 might keep, admin 2 would delete.
5. The staff has collectively decided to be more demanding of the users, therefore we have a more strict quality standards then what was enforced say 18 months ago. ____________________________ Customize.org Staff : Submissions
fair enough its all cool. im not trying to start an argument or anything i respect the decesion of FrostedFlames I was just annoyed because i spent a while making those images (whilst it might not look like it- ink and paint texturing in max is a bitch!) I did find urls and original urls for copied images before i went to work. Now however I am slightly inebriated and it took me 4 minutes or so to edit this message of spelling mistakes. I'm a lover not a hater! Nice j/k 'AboveAverage'....Dave Chapelle had better watch his back cos THERE'S A NEW COMEDIAN IN TOWN HAHHAHA LOL J/K! :) :)
