I recently got this virus form AIM that whenever I restart my comp or I leave it on for a couple of hours, this website pops up that said something about a frozen account. I was just wondering if anything had gotten this and know how to eliminate it cuz i used most virus programs and doesn't work.

Also under my windows task manager I have IEXPLORER that i want to end process for without it coming back after every restart and I was wondering if there was a way to do it

Thanks

Do I look funny to you?

HKALiEn, first run your anti-virus software, make sure it is up to date and not Norton Antivirus (I don't know, there just always seems to be away around that juggernaut, no disrespect to those who payed for it ...). If that turns up nothing ... give the following a go.
...
Check the following system directories:
"C:\Documents and Settings\User*\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
*replace this with your current Windows user name
...
check for any suspicious shortcuts, if in doubt cut the shortcut and drop it in another folder and restart (risk involved: you may lose some system functionality. eg. webcam may not load, no sound, anything really ...).
...
if that hasn't fixed your issue, then do the following
...
from the start menu click on "Run".
type in "regedit" in the textbox and click okay.
proceed to the following directories (using the tree structure to the right):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Run
...
once you reach these directories you should (depending on whether the "virus" you have is loaded on startup) have a list of entries with a Name, Type and Data field titles. Read the Data fields and look for any suspicious file names and/or file paths (Risk: you may seriously do some damage here to basically any resource so be sure you write down the Name, Type and Data values for the soon to be deleted values AND perform a system checkpoint!).
Delete any suspicious entries and proceed to restart.
...
Thats all I know, keep asking around ... custo is by far not the only community on the internet.

Sounds like spyware, IF you have decent antivirus and are keeping it up to date. Download and run Adaware and/or Spybot Search and Destroy. And no you don't look funny at all.

Actually I think I might have had a problem like this the other day. I had just got back from playing a game, and I left my Miranda running and everything and I was just about to messege Caleb and AIM kicks me off. I kept trying to log back in and it wouldn't let me, so then I tried to use the actual AIM program itself which also didn't work. So I use the 'Forgot Password' function and it sent my password to my e-mail address. Before I opened up the password, below it was an email saying my account was suspended. It said some bullcrap about me doing some illegal stuff or something, but the email after that contained a new password that was changed and everything and I logged in and everything continued to work normal as before. Could that have been a result of spyware, and just someone had generated an e-mail messege, that spoofed a AOL e-mail address?
