I thought this was kinda interesting, my winamp skin I posted, "something new and nice" is the third or fourth worst ranked skin, recieving comments like "This is the worst crap I have ever seen", as of 12:05 A.M. Pacific standard time it's the 35th most viewed skin on the site, that's out of 1126 others where a majority of them have been on much longer. Ahh, these are the what the fruits of labor are all about, Winky art WILL BE KNOWN! :)

I can tell this message board wont go far so I'll start a topic withing this one. Pentium vs. Athlon, which would you prefer to have on your desk?
Please leave your benchmarks at the door for this question, they favor both machines in all different kinds of ways. Just wanna know what you personally prefer.
AMD all the way! Current chip: AMD K6 III 400 mhz soon to be skipped for a T-bird 1400!! ADM rocks - PENTIUM sucks! Ain't got not benchmarks cause me 400 won't get "high" marks... ;)
Well, this is an interesting topic and it could be a long debate. I've got to say that AMD is definitely a quicker processer, especially if you are a gamer. Pentium is a great processor if it's setup correctly. I know that Alienware makes a great computer a really maxes out the Pentium 4. I guess it's really a personal choice because it all depends on what you are going to do. I'm running a PIII 450 as my main machine and it runs pretty strong. I got a whole setup really cheap though, so that's why I'm still running it. My secondary machine is an AMD K6-2 450 and it runs really well for my gaming needs and what not. If I were to get a new computer though, I would definitely get a Thunderbird 1400 with lots of DDR ram. :D
amd, for now anyway. More bang for the buck. AMD beats the P4 even running at lower clock speeds. Check out Tom's hardware for some side by side tests. But with the way things are going, who knows in 6 months?
No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.
Unfortunately I am a name brand b****. PIII 933 @ work Cel 400 @ home office PII 300 @ home play
And my next home system will hopefully be dual 600 Mhz. I must say though that for the buck AMD is the way to go but there are certain things that I was looking for that AMD simply didn't offer. Or a motherboard I wanted that I couldn't get to work an AMD chip.
Da1King Are you on drugs?? Or is this your naturally moronic state??
