The items you deleted, were they uploaded to skin sections, as skins? Did they contain zips containg said skins? Or were they screenshots posted to a screenshot section?
If they were uploaded to skin sections as skins but contained no skin files in the zips, then I agree with your actions. Based on your posts, I believe this to be the case... But I may have misinterpreted. Any other permutation, and I can't agree.
Some clarification of what happened may assist easing tensions, perhaps?

I just re-signed up to clarify some things that people are saying and they are not true.
As we (pixtudio) made in ALL the skins sites (less Skinz.org, because they have not a screenshot section) we upload all the possible free skins in their apropriated sections, one overall screenshot and one other screenshot for each different theme (NextStart,HVD,DestopXand WinXP) ALL SCREENSHOTS IN THE SCREENSHOTS SECTIONS!
I am being part of the skins cummunity during the last 2 years, during this time, I did my best, to never make mistakes wich could unrespect anyone.
We would never upload a skin without a zip file, on a skin section! Who is saying that, is doing a false acusation.
What Im saying here can be comproved at Wincustomize, DeviantArt, Lots of Skins and Skin Base, where we acted in the same way.
This is a very bad...and also so sad. Treetog made more for skin comunities than me or this mariku will ever make. The number and quality of skins he always gave us have no equal, just maybe Dangeruss have such a skin archive at the same level as he . Now he found a way to have something back after all his dedication and hours working in awsome suites of skins he always had such plesure chearing with us, and what people do? they delete his offer just because he is not giving for free some of the skins..........fucking shame on this people..........you don´t have to buy, you don´t even have to go to Pixtudio site. Is there some evil in making a few bucks doing what you love to do? isn´t this what we all expect in our profissional life? ..and yeah, his work is pprofessional, worth a few bucks to have such quality skins. For sure people have the right to think whatever they want, agree, desagree, buy , not to buy, say their opinion whatever that may be....but delete uploads and acounts cause of this ?????....
This is a desrespect to the probably most correct and better skinner of all skin´s universe. Renato always gave us his best, as a skinner and as a person and in my opinion this is just an act of envy. there is no justification to such attitude...blah:/
Shog, for sure I understand your question, it's more then resonable, you were asking for more info to to complete your thought. What I totally desagree is what was answered to you by the admins and I couldn't stay without saying nothing.
It was a mistake. It's done. I think the best thing to do is drop Treetog a line and let him know you want to continue to see his output, and heck, maybe even buy his suite if you think it's worth it. And I don't think anything should be "done" about miriku. It was just a silly little mistake.
No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.
My understanding is this. They simply uploaded a screeny to the screeny section that showed both the free skins and the skins that they were less than free. All are available in the suit, but some were already released free. miruku saw this as advertising and nuked it on site.
What crap! It is not advertising. Miriku has just acted impulsively and rudely - both traits he seems to take some false pride in. I would challenge his ability to be an admin. He has terrible "people skills".
in 3 words: i have a moral system. you might agree with me, you might not. i believe computer art was about freedom. i'm write my software in GNU public license, i release my music for free, i release everything for free. this is my value system.
i believed that custo was about those same values. i support those values. if custo is not about those values, i will not rank skins that people release as under the prostitution license. thats fine.
if my values go completely against those of custo, then yes, i shouldnt be an admin. i was under the impression they didnt.

miriku: I understand your point of view, the only thing I can't understand is, In your profile page (here at custo), where it says "music" I believe it is for people to include their favorite kind of music and not for giving a URL for an outside moonfrog-records.com web site, that you need to PAY for downloading music.

See? if someone is after you, even when you are trying to do good things, they will find any excuse to do it.
I'm also an voluntier admin at WC, I also need to rate, moderate, delete, talk, update, etc... , but everything I do, I make having respect to the users, skinners, artists. Being an admin, make you an standart of the site you are working for.
If you go deleting other peoples hard, hard work without thinking for just one second and saying "this isnt fucking ebay for their free advertising glory" and saying not one single line to them.
I'm not mad with you because you deleted the screenshots, what made me really desapointed, was the way you did, having any kind of respect for a user. The way you did, you allowd anyone to have no respect for you, as I saw many people doing, since yesterday.
As for me, I'll try to understand, after all, I have a daugther that has your age and she is offen very impulsive.

again: monfrog-records is free. the full albums by all artists on the label are availble for free. you only pay if you want to get a hardcopy. please do not slander.
