since the message board is finally alive again, I think we need a polytopic... finals are stupid.. you go to school for an entire semester just to have your grade decided by one stupid test.

this is true in lower division. seeing as at this point the only classes i have left are the ones that can kill a cow at a hundred paces, i'm starting to actually do the whole 'good student' thing for a change
I also think that final are one of the worst events of the quarter. I mean, it does get you out of homework, but I would rather do homework ocassionallyand get a C then taking a two hour test to get an F after studying for many wasted night. Does anyone else think finals are unfair if they determind 50%+ of your grade?

School = lots of free time, plenty of obligations in theory, only a few in practice (those tests) Work = less free time period. Four weeks is less than all the school holidays. Fewer obligations in theory, more in practice (this is job dependant).
But if you pay attention in school, you might learn something and that could help you get an enjoyable job you at least..
