hermiks define5 winamp skins rock. That's like one of my all time fav winamp skins. This ls theme matches it really well. I started a visual style a long time ago for personal use but never finished it. Seeing this makes me want to finish it.

I'll be blunt. The style is good, but it's lacking in functionality, and what is there is poorly done. The taskbar maxes out at 7 tasks at a horizontal resolution of 1024, which is ridiculous. When you do exceed 7 tasks, there's no way to scroll to the others! Sure you can alt-tab, but that defeats the purpose of a taskbar. And while higher resolutions are more forgiving, it's so very basic to release a theme that doesn't make this an issue. The readme states it supports horizontal resolutions of 1600, but it renders the theme virtually unusable. The time/date/taskbar text is extremely difficult to read. Also, at any resolution, the non-active text is a pain to read against the closely colored backgrounds. I do realize this color scheme is based on other skins. Lastly, we have the system tray. It only holds 3 icons, which is somewhat forgivable since it does have scroll buttons, but it's misdefined by a pixel or two. Some icon's edges will be visible off the right side, when they are supposed to be hidden. (Score based on usability.) ----- @cosmo-krusty: I stand corrected on "there's no way to scroll to the others" (refering to the tasks). But having to use the !PopupTasks command due to a short-coming in the taskbar doesn't change anything. As I stated with alt-tabbing, it defeats the purpose of the taskbar. Looking in the config file certainly wouldn't have changed my criticism in any way (btw, !PopupTasks is already part of a standard rightclick menu). I'm not like some people who will throw out a 90+ score because the theme "looks" good. This is Litestep, not WindowBlinds. If I were to rate it on looks alone, I'd be on the 90+ bandwagon, too. ----- @alterion: I guess we balance eachother out. ;-)

@xcal thanks for your commment. i take every constructive criticism. sure the font is very small and therefore for some peeps unreadable at higher resolutions. this will be fixed in the next release. i use small fonts like silkscreen7 by default at a resolution of 1280.
the systray issue will be fixed in the next release (didnt had it - this depends on full size tray-icons).
unusable at a resolution of 1600: this theme is supposed to run at a resolution of 1280 and this will be the only resolution in the next release.
but the next time you do some criticism you should look in the config file. there you can read the line: *Desktop MButton !PopupTasks. this command is not resolution-dependent and not limited to any number.
