---------------------------------------- Prior Comments (lose them due to frequent updates) ---------------------------------------- 7sinz: [100] pretty pretty cool! good job! I think I will use litestep with your theme :)
ranpii: [100] love it dude gj! BLACK!
xcal: [95] Good job! (The !popup_reload script doesn't update my popup - I need to !recycle - but I think that's more related to my xstep install.)
Ravers_anthem: [99] ummmmm.... dude isn't this the third time you have loaded this on? are you constantly updating that skin within the space of a week or am I just stoned?
DeVante: [-] xcal, thanks. :> I just loaded xStep 0.24.7 and reloading the popups without recycling seems to work fine for me (!popup_reload), send me email about what version you're using. Ravers_anthem, I am constantly updating the theme. Check the dates of the updates. :P' I wrote a message to this site's operators and they said there's no way to update the file. You can update the version number, file description, everything but the file. Sadly, I lose all rates, downloads, comments after each update. :/ Seems like a flaw in the site design, no? ; ; However, you probably are stoned anyway. ;> Oh well, glad you guys like!
pharcyde: [95] pretty nice theme..
FriedBacon: [100] Best theme i have seen yet for combining the minimalistic desktop and ultimate functionality. Intuitive start menu and great popout toolbars. Very Nice i'm using it
xcal: [95] Here's your score back. ;-) Nice addition, being able to swap top/bottom. ----- @riko: I think you should actually try the theme...you can do that. :P
Ravers_anthem: [100] o!! whoah! so you DID update every time... MAN! you're industrious.. this is 100 for hard work.. and 100 for a good theme :D
eRad: [100] pretty damn outstanding.
riKo: [-] Imo I think you should remove the icons in the popup
DeVante: [-] Thanks. :> I hate to lose all those comments, especially when I'm always updating. I like reading comments on other people's stuff, so I'll just try to save them all each update. ha - RIKO, There is an option to remove the icons and make the popup menu smaller overall. Read the feature list. :P'
nachorevolution: [100] whoa. Very good theme, what I have always been looking for. I wish there were some light colors too.
DeVante: [-] I'll work on some lighter version of the color schemes. My monitor is so messed up, I think the colors I see aren't the same as everyone else. Sometimes I get reports that the current schemes are too dark, but I can't tell how dark. :/
xcal: [95] /score
Auranaut: [99] Elegant and functional. An awesome theme. Made me switch back to Litestep after several months of using explorer. Keep up the good work.
xcal: [94] Here's your score back, but I'm taking 1pt away because it bumped my theme off the "latests" list.
Ravers_anthem: [95] this just keeps evolving.. cool :D
Manic: [95] Dang, Dev... I go on hiatus for a few months and you go and get good on me :p Seriously though, I love what you did with the winamp player controls, it really is beautifully done (an excellent improvement to the original design you had for the full player, it just feels more natural). The theme's structure itself is a bit confusing to go through, but everything's technically sound, if hard to follow. I know I've said it before, but some of the graphical alterations just don't quite feel right. That's probably just me, though. ;) Oh, and i noticed you fixed the little vwm issue you had back in April... nice. :) ps: mind if I borrow your full player mode for simplicity? ;)
Nakoom: [95] Great theme. I love it. Easy and simple to both install and use. I have nothing bad to say about it. However, when I first installed, and whenever I refresh/reload LS, I get an error message for ckVWM1.42.dll stating: "Error: Exception during module initialization. Please contact the module writer." I was wondering if this was something wrong with the theme, that it didn't know what to do with ckVWM1.42.dll or if it was just something wrong with the module that could be fixed by a re-download? And as for what I read in a previous comment about colours, I think that they are dark, but not too dark. They're just perfect for me. I'd love to see more themes from you. Edit: I found out the problem. I had edited step.rc because another theme I had used required me to add a few lines. I took out the lines, and now everything is fine.
advent: [-] Love the styling of this theme. Nifty popup, as well.
The text color doesn't seem flow to that well with the color scheme. Maybe get rid of the icon view in the popup? Those are my only complaints. Other then that nice work.
If I change 'click to open folders' (to false), it kills LS, as does enabling or disabling the theme !popup. |The theme defined main menu still edits popup.rc, rather than (a) breaking OTS2 with _compatibility_patch.rc, or (b) using a module (like mzscript) to take over the !bang with a different menu (though OTS2 should have had other options, IMO). Also, disabling it does not work. re-enabling it adds the edit again to the popup.rc, so there are two sets of settings and includes for the theme's popup. | Disabling the clock also disables the systray. | When not setting things, it works quite well, including the pinning. I really like the little VWM/big VWM thing.
If anyone likes the darker color schemes better, let me know and I will add them back. ----
mojomonkee: haha I knew there'd be one sooner or later. ;> Nah, I just like to go back and read what people said, good or bad. But the good is nicer to read of course. :P'
-----
heylove: I thought soft white was the least offensive. :P' And you can turn the icons off. Theme settings > Popup > Compact Mode Popups. Thanks for the kind words. :>
