Well, it's usually not the neighbor's lawn, infact, most of the time I don't know who's lawn it is.

I'd sleep on my lawn but there's a big nasty rose bush in the middle of it, so the neighbours lawn it is. oh so plush and grassy.

I don't really know to be honest, when I'm sleeping with my girlfriend, I sleep on my side. When I'm on my own, I wake up in some odd positions. It's a mix of all of them I think.

i used to use a fan to block out all the noise, but then i would just wake up with a headache and a runny nose(no matter where/how i positioned the fan in the room). Eventually figured out i was more or less addicted to the sound of the fan to lull me to sleep. Had to learn to sleep without it.
