I've been an Angels fan my whole life, so Im definately rooting for them to win it. Cardinals are my favorite team in the NL so I would love to see these two teams play in the WS. My dream: Angels beat Cardinals in game 7 of WS.

I grew up in the Illinois suburbs of St Louis and I was a Cardinals fan in utero. I was too young to really appreciate the great run we had in the 80's, and since I've been old enough to follow the team myself, we keep coming up "just short", so a world series win would be huge for me.

My prediction is that if they beat the Astros they win it all.

yeah, they play their games in Anaheim still, but the owners renamed them the Los Angeles Angels, to make them more marketable. Bigger city attatched to your team name = more marketable I guess

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim does sound stupid though...

the astros aren't favored, but they're still my team. thankfully the bosox and yankees didn't make it this year, neither of them deserve to win.

Since the redsox didn't make it ( but that ok the yankees didn't either ) I'm going to have to go with the Angels. They're looking good so far.

I'm a big Braves fanm so that 18-inning game in Houston was of course painful to watch. But with a thriller like that to put them in the NLCS, I think it would be exciting to see Clemens lead them all the way.

Carnage, I assume you're not a local. St Louis is nestled in a riverbend smack dab on the Missouri/Illinois border, and East St Louis is IN Illinois. The St Louis Metro area extends two counties deep in to Illinois, and I grew up about 20 minutes from downtown and the Archgrounds. My dad has worked in St Louis for most of my life. I work out of St Louis often enough that I probably have to pay MO state taxes this year. I assure you, having grown up here, I have a very firm grasp of where St Louis is. ;)

riKo, In the United States, there are two baseball leagues, the National League and the American League. The champions of each league then compete in the World Series. The World Series is decided in a best of seven competition, so the first team to win four games is the victor. Because both teams are champions in their respective divisions, they're usually very evenly matched, so unlike American Football/Gridiron where you usually see a one-sided blowout, the World Series is usually very close and very exciting, often being decided in the seventh game.

(of course, last year the Boston Red Sox won four games straight to sweep the St Louis Cardinals, but that was unusual.)

I am extremely bitter towards the World Series in general. House and Bones will not be on again until November because of this. Baseball can blow up.
