I used Tclock 2 for the clock and start button. I used StyleXp for the window captions, and I hacked AIM myself (note: the small grey squares next to the names replace the "Away Message" icon).

alright, i think this could benefit from a better vs, that one doesent really work with it. mojo i wasnt tryin to be a dick., im just playin around, didnt mean to come off as one :P my bad.

liquidred: you could at least give him some pointers instead of being a dick for no reason. you can tell he's on the right track for a good looking desktop and he's actually trying here.

See? This is what I've been talking about in thet "I'm not feeling this" thread. Looks like my point just got made for me . . . . .
This screenshot is a good effort, overall. Things match alright, but you could do with a better visualstyle, perhaps try a more minimalistic grey one . . maybe Xplatinum, even a black one would do - just to set off the "flower" design in the center - I'd recommend Shinobi. Icons are hurting you here. Go for dark icons that have a 3D look, not the small pixel-art ones. There are some very clean dark icons at designtechnika.com. In fact, I belive there is a set called "xenogensis", but you'll have to check on that to make sure. I might even use SnowE icons here (not SnowE2) by Sascha Hohne (aka Rade8.)
Next time, show us a few skinned apps, and open a window or two. Otherwise, it's a good, clean start - certainly better than alot of what we've been seeing lately. :-)

change that aim icon with reshacker, try a smoother icon suite (that one never struck me as visually pleasing, as its all pixely), and show us more next time! - also, just sharing here, but you could grab a copy of deadaim so you can rename your aim contacts on your list to their real names so you dont have to hide them next time.
