Artist's Note
Here's a screenshot of my latest desktop, please forgive if the colors look "dim" or off, I compressed the damn JPEG a little much. (/me kicks self hard). The copperish colors did not show-up on the screenshot as bright and vivid as they actually are.
HERE's WHAT YOU SEE:
FreeBSD 5.1 (yep, /me is über geek)
Running FluxBox 0.9.6-harper*
FluxBox Style: Posthuman by aleczapka (All I did was mod the gradients to be slightly less bright, and changed the fonts to snap, no big deal).
Aterm Minimal Opera 7.11 Gimp 2.2 Gvim 6.2 (editing webcollage.pl) Wall by aleczapka
Slit-Apps: wmuptime wmCalClock wmxmms GKrellM 2.1.21, with Brass skin (by Sid), and a ton of Krell plugins.
*Personal Mod version. (1) KDE, Gnom, and XFce Support (2) Modified Pixmap rendering engine to render faster with BSD. (Slower initial load of Flux at X start)

opera is very minimal. do you navigate using the mouse gestures?
this is all a bit messy looking, but i suppose it matches pretty well.

kinda sloppy. i dont really like your flux theme, dont feel it matches too well with that wall. maybe you should get that aterm running with trans, along with the gkrellm (klearllm i think its called is a good trans skin). overall its too crowded for my liking, but i usually just shoot for a few trans. aterms and gkrellm2 with a nice wp. but thats cuz i just prefer console to running gui apps. so if it works for you, then stick with it. props for getting freebsd running. i know how hard it can be. by the way, how do you like the ports packaging system? I'm running gentoo and i hear the portage system is very similar to ports, and I was concidering getting *bsd on another computer rather than another linuxs system. and how do you like Xfce compared to XFree86 ?

Nope the, minimal Opera was for the benifit of the screenshot only so that the Wallpaper could show. The reasom it looks messy, is because I wanted to show a bunch of stuff.
An yep wget is the "man" (In that shot getting the latest Xfce Build).
