customizing a desktop is one thing but removing everything to where it seems ununsable is what this seems to be. I dont know it just seems like things are going backwards. Its simple yes but there's no essence really. Is that what customizing has become? Removing things instead of replacing?

If you released this as a theme.. wow... I would b first in line. Hell.. I would wait 2-3 months just 2 b able to use this.. it kicks so much butt that my foot is sore just from watching it do all that kicking. ALSO!! When messaging, just read the name INSIDE the window and you can see.

Although I agree with most of you that this does look good, I also agree with max. There is a lot removed to where if anyone other than yourself wanted to use your comp, they might not be able to. It seems like you have removed so much that there is a loss in functionality.

ok here goes: you know who ims you because of the window caption, I just set the inactive window text to the same color as the window, plus a press of f2 brings up the sn and timestamp. As far as usability, the taskbar is just on auto hide so I can use that in addition to the html tasks. The file menus are still there, I can just toggle them on and off as per wint's site or they are set to white when the window is inactive. A right click in firefox brings up the customize menu where you can access the file menus. All of it is useable, I just have everything shown in their minimal state for aesthetics. For the apps used, look at the shell part of the quicklaunch. Finally, customizing is about making a desktop your own, I wouldn’t expect somebody to jump in and use my comp, that defeats the purpose of it being mine.
