Artist's Note
Just a shot of my current desktop. In light of all the buzz about Longhorn, I thought I'd try a more Windows-ish look. This is based on the nifty look of MSN 7.
OS: Windows XP SP2, fully updated
VS: MSN by dobee (based on MSN 7)
Wallpaper: Energy (found bundled with some of Stefanka's Longhorn-inspired themes)
Icons: Some default Luna, some by RADE8 (Minium), ws taylor, and Jairo Boudewyn.
Mobydock in effect
YZtoolbar: Longhorn Alternative Mod by pAntoni and Enhanced
YZshadow in effect
Rainlendar: Shadow 3.1 (standard)
Microsoft Virtual Desktop Manager (MS PowerToys)
Fonts: Some of what you see is the clean and beautiful Frutiger (Adobe's version.)

Hm... I don't like MSN that much, but this desk is really neat. Most I like the toolbar icons, perfectly implemented in the VS.

i honestly do like this. its very clean and crisp... something we've strayed from lately. i like how you listed everything you used as well.

I highly disagree with the toolbar icons. There not really fitting to the theme at all. And you seem to have some sort of bug in the toolbar there, might want to check that out.

Thanks for all the comments! I've recently developed a new appreciation for Windows, actually.
The "error" in the toolbar is the separator between the buttons and the menu. It seems to be unavoidable. Perhaps it's the way it is handled by the VS itself.
EDIT::: garabed, lol. It's actually due NEXT week, but for some reason the EVENTS box doesn't reconcile itself with the calendar marking. Maybe I have it configured incorrectly . . . .
