Artist's Note
no! don't let your eyes decieve you! this is not a Mac! :P i was forced back into Windows this semester because of a project at university, so I decided to make it more comfortable. by the time I was doing so, I heard some rumors about MacOS X running on PCs, so I got a little excited about the idea and decided to go back to my old Mac emulation times. then I found the wallpaper and thought it would be very funny to use it in this desktop. so here it is, my not-a-Mac desktop :D here are the specs: wallpaper: This is not a mac! from Shelldepot, the wallpaper section (http://www.rafalaguna.com/depot/fondos.html), colored by me with a little help from The GIMP (Windows version) VS: OpusOSX, from the great Ross Harvey (http://b0se.deviantart.com) Icons: Lego System, by Sean Patrick King (www.seanpatrickking.com) (originally got them from Pixelgirl Presents) Dock icons: RBO, by the great David Lanham (www.dlanham.com, in the Goodies section) Dock background: default ObjectDock background, white ObjectBar: SmoothStripes, by Crni (http://free-st.htnet.hr/crni/), modded by me Y'z Toolbar: Aqua (one of the included skins) Winamp: iTunes Mini Silvier by javier and newaveCR (from thier GUIKit released at deviantArt, but which also happens to be here at Custo: http://www.customize.org/details/40398) Firefox: I was using Safire, from Bazon Bloch, which I got from here: http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/skins/safire.html, but when I switched to Firefox 1.5 it stopped working, so I started using iFox, which is based in Safire but also compatible with 1.5 (got it from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/themes/moreinfo.php?id=1106&application=firefox) Rainlendar: Lucid, by thechunkster (got it here at Custo: http://www.customize.org/details/42764) using AveDesk for the big desktop icons and xBar to hide the regular desktop icons (by methodik, methodik.pixelarmy.com) also using (but not shown): Thunderbird: AppleMail by Magbi9 (http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/skins/mail_thunderbird.html) a nifty hack of MSN Messenger called Tiger MSN Aqua, by terill (http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/skins/tiger_msn_aqua.html) iShut (http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/applications/ishut.html) and many more little cool apps, all from osx-e (www.osx-e.com)
... and I think that's all (if there's something missing please let me know). I highly recommend osx-e.com, it's *the* windows to mac emulation page. constructive criticism appreciated as always. enjoy!

A bit harsh there. Alot of the stuff doesn't match smoothly, but at least you're trying to customize everything. Kudos.

Good effort with the customizing, but I was sure this was Windows just by looking at it.

... can't believe DioS was the only one who got it ¬_¬... *ahem*this was meant to be sarcastic*ahem*... i mean... how could you tell this was not a Mac, I wonder? did the big obvious Windows Explorer window give you the clue?... any way, thanks for the comments, although some of them were a bit less kind than before :S. ekoshyun: yes, I agree with you, there are things that don't match very well, but i feel comfortable with this setup, so maybe I won't change it. besides, I'll probably start using Linux more often. anyway, thanks for the comment.
