I don't think I've seen a recent screenshot with that kind of contrast in it. The dark greys vs the white/smoke color is very nice, though I find it drags my eye everywhere at once. I would suggest just a lighter version of the overall gray color, but that's probably just my preference :B
I do like this a whole lot :D

Great job! I always thought about doing a vs port of smpl, but this is nothing short of spectacular. I'd just take a different wall, to make the dark vs stand out more.

Thanks for the feedback everbody.I guess that i might release it but i'd have to do a lot more work on it to make it release-quality. As for the font, i think that its a pretty nice pixel font. Maybe i just have good eyes :)
