Artist's Note

I got inspired by Nitzua's Midsummer Classic shot. And by this wallpaper, I fell in love with it. And I might note that I took this earlier, but took many hours to get up the guts to sub it. This has been a labor of love.

I also had one of my favorite most comfy and long used screen shots in mind whilst creating this. Lilac. Along with it, my favorite and most used marlett that I miss dearly.

I've been working on this for about two months. A lot of people have known about it, and few people have seen previews. I must say I've put more work into this screen shot then I've done in a long time -- if ever.

From first glance, it may not look like much, since it's mostly classic. But in actuality more than half of all of my screen shots are -- it's the style I prefer. Hopefully you'll notice the little nuances in this one, that make me like it more than my past work.

A big difference being my using icons. Yes. Don't fall out of your chair -- I am in fact using icons. And hopefully even though this may not be as "fancy" it'll still be appreciated. Because it may be my last desktop for a while.

Update: It's slow. I'm up late. I got bored. And decided to try to recolor the wallpaper and make it all blue and see how it looked.

But as this is also an attitude of mine (always working on it) I think the font in the calendar shouldn't be bold and as you normally do you should get rid of all icons. I just needed a nifty little calendar to check the bloody date. And using icons for the first time in what, four years? Err. First time ever, in all my time of customizing. It was an experiment. 	report -_- says: Killer desktop darling! I definitely like the various hacks like the shutdown, calculator, calendar and paint. The colors are extremely nice and blend perfectly into the goodlooking wall. Therefor i voted "I LOVE IT!" instantly. If you want to hear some supportive critics i would say the paint icons are not really what i expected it to be and the brown in the wallpaper might need some extra emphasize in the theme itself. 	report Pyro_ says: Mad, I had seen that. It works to an extent. That's how I was able to do some stuff. But it refuses to give me control of a font file. So far when I reshack a system file it sorta crashes. Ego, you mean inverting so it's grey and the highlight is white? I really wanted to stick with the overall 3DCC look throughout though. -_-, The paint may very well be my favorite part of the entire screen shot. I really like the icons I chose. But again, I have lets say "different" tastes. And as for the brown, I know I didn't incorporate it very well. But for me, it didn't really matter. Thanks all. I was really hesitant to submit this.
