Yet another Linux shot
I just can't seem to get away from the huge panel and dark colors especially after looking at Imrik's stuff, which is where I kinda got some of my ideas that aren't nearly as good as his stuff. I wish good customizers like that would come over to linux and show us some of their skills, but at least we have Lyrae which equals awesome until some do.
I utilized the powerful gnome panels a lot in this shot for the clock up top with the run image, I really haven't thought of an image to put in its place.
Gtk: glossy(modified) Emerald: blackend by lyrae(modded) Icons: iris Wall: silver by adobe or something Fonts: mintsmild mousepad.gmrun, gqview, firefox, terminal emulator, pidgin and some of my horrible messing around in linux hacks

Nice but I think you should move away from that style.
btw, you used a font that many people did not like on your other shot, but I do!

Excuse me finch, i see you posting a lot of constructive comments lately, which in itself is not bad, not at all. But it feels a little weird to me still, because you haven't posted much yourself yet. I just had to say that.
Nice setup here, i like the idea of that center shutdown button!

@naalo: I am just trying to help give feedback on other peoples shots. There is something in the pipeline in terms of my own shots.
Anyway, I thought people hates it when I changed my desk so frequently....

It's got some nice elements to it, it being Linux again makes it all the better. The things I mainly don't care for is the stark contrast of the dropdown menu outline and the icons. Maybe grey would've been a bit smoother.
