i like it too. it would look great in my bedroom!
i think a desktop with color in it looks better than the monochromatic and minimalist screenshots that are so popular here. they're so contrived - as soon as you open a website the whole look is destroyed. plus, they don't look very useful.
mine is tuned for efficiency :)
