Artist's Note
My first attempt on making an old-paper and watercolor effects. please give suggestions to make it better in my second attempt. For now, Enjoy! :)

the top and bottom textures are insane. the middle, while still good looks a bit more fake over the brown in the rocks, and their outlines (most japaneese scrolls of this type were outline less on the landscapes) and the text top left bothered me quite a bit, it's far too regular and digital for an actual watercolor scroll. the characters are also not nearly vertical enough

The old paper effect is very well done. You lost points, however, for the two rocks on the right side. They do not look like they are sitting in the midst of the waves, like the cliff does. They just seem to be stuck on at the end. Perhaps if you were to get rid of them, and add just a tad bit more color, it would take on a greater soul.

Top and bottom are increadible! The texture of the paper is amazing. The "painting" is nice, but not the same quality as the paper itself. A wp with only the paper would sadly be a bit to empty though.

keep it up, try again, but spend more time on the detail. maybe do some spline work instead of using a photo :?

wow, origianl, and great craft too. clever font: did you do it yourself? And hey, for the admin: so it's not Fan K'uan ( http://www.taiyipart.com.hk/p3.htm ) but its still very nice, and the 'old paper' effect is very well done
