And very cool indeed. I hope you got an A on this project because its damn awesome. I love the eyes and the dark shadowed figure (at least, thats what I see).

Unless your teacher is on crack you will get an A for this... it's possible that because your teacher a) doesn't like you or b) doesn't like dark pieces, that you might not get as high a mark as think... If that happens, kick his/her ass!

Well, I still see "trend" here. The red ribbon-like 3d thing and the dark/light slightly textured gradient background are pretty trendy in own opinion.
The character looks more like a ninja than a samurai, and as we all know bushido pretents to the Samurais, not the Ninjas.
But as a image, I am loving it. "Arigatos" for showing us the way of the warriors.
