I'm sorry but that's not 'awesome work', it looks as though the face has just been pasted on, and the edges rubbed out with a very large, very soft rubber in PS. Could have been much better. Try to blend the individual shards into her face, using lesser opacity rubbers, airbrushes, and layer modes.
