See, the problem is, it looks like it's supposed to have a huge amount of depth, but it just isn't working...it looks too flat.

I agree with Darksheer; try to increase the FOV of the camera, that should add some more depth. Otherwise; I´ve always wanted a wallpaper that felt like you could fall through it if you´re not careful! great!
