The metal part is nice, the design of the wall however is lacking in the sense that the emptiness does'nt work so well with the main feature. What would give this a big boost is if you had a larger font style perhaps in the middle to even things out a bit.

One thing you could do is flip the entire thing horizontally. An easy thing to do with big benefit. I'll explain. The upper left corner is a more comfortable place than the upper right corner. The upper left corner is where the text begins on a page in NA cultures. Upper right isn't anything. Okay, next. The typo in the corner doesn't seem like a part of the wallpaper. Make it a part. Next... the tentacles would look better is you drew them freehand, unless you're not great at that. If you have trouble with freehand stuff, just remember to make more subtle curves. They would look best long & not as zig-zaggish. If they made a nice subtle "s" curve, that'd be superb. Last, make them going the same general direction, but at varying lengths. Don't be afraid to overlap them. Experiment with it. :) Anetalaya: Umm? What you just said directly contradicted a lot of things I've been taught. I'd like to know which is correct; care to go into detail?

I gues you are working on a minimalistic style, but it needs work. something is not working here. @knuff: the upper right corner is the main focus on a plane, if you need someting to be seen, that's the place for that element. Update: If you want that explained, sent me an email an I'll explain it to you, is too long to explain here.

the thumb nail looks awesome, but when I took a closer look it really doesnt look like metal at all. You should try getting better at artistic detail before you submit anything else :\ Dont take that the wrong way, but seriously, this is lacking and a weak example of what you can do.

This looks good, except the weird thing going on at the top right. You should make it look like polished metal. Smoother, and make it blend in a bit better to the grey. Hit me up when you do something with this. I really like this tho.

i think that this is one of my better works...i've never made walls before, and i can't find many good tutorials, and when i do, i don't know how to implement them into a wall.

A simple photoshop metal texture won't cut it.

lines. wavey lines. photoshop wavey lines. photoshop wavey lines on a gradient background. add more content and things to look at, and the score will rise.
