The whale's tail looks funny. The text box under him is too close to the edge. The grey on the right does nothing for me and the resolution is way too small for most. Now for the good, besides the tail, the whale looks good. Its not bad for a first, but keep at it and get better.

UPDATE thnx you guys, about the eye..i made the orca from a really crappy stock photo and to scale it to make it bigger..alot bigger..so the eye was a bit hard..not making any excuses tho..hermik: lol..thnx ofr being harsh..it was actually you wallpaper with the whales that got me hooked on vector art FrostedFlames: the tail in the original image was at a side..i guess i have to work on my perspective. But neways thnx for the comments evryone and i'll keep on trying

you don't really need the orca 1.0 tag on there, but it's nice job for first time wall getting use to illustrator. also people get pissed off when artists don't upload multiple resolutions of their work. for standard you may want to upload 1280x1024 so at least you got the majority covered. anyway keep up the good work. cheers :)

stare a real-life picture of an orca,fellas...its eye is black in color and really hard to spot, even if you know where it is. As far as the "eye" is concerned,MaRZ's orca is fine...the eye patch is too close to the bottom line though..snout too rounded and it would probably look better if he included the whole fluke. Nevertheless,i like this wall alot and MaRZ, how bout making another orca wall with more orcas? Hmmm???

6 shapes don't make an orca. EDT I don't "crap" on his work, I just said that what he submitted is not enought. It's also known as criticism, add the adjective "harsh" if you like.

chillax you guys. he said he just got illustrator. keep up the good work, man.

hermik, just because you have your style down, and are well known doesn't mean you can crap on other people's work. everyone starts somewhere.

Looks like they do to me, a slightly demented one, but an orca none the less.

smoother lines please! just a tip, if you're drawing curves, don't close the anchor point. If you don't already know.

Somehow the grey on the right doesn't fit. The orca itself looks great.

I really like the wallpaper in all. I think it looks great. It isn't too bare with the grey on the right, but if there was no grey,I believe it would be a boring wallpaper. The orca is excellent. I agree with the orca 1.0 tag being too close to the edge. To me in my opinion,it's very simple, and very amusing to look at. :) Good job. :)
