not really very theme-able and the textures just look muddy and uninspired. the overall color scheme is pretty nice for a brown desktop, the rest just needs more refining.

I like it a lot.. but the kid sitting down on the rock should fit the color scheme of the image a little better.. his red and blue shorts sort of make it look cheap . If you're OK with suggestions, I could see a gargoyle sitting on that rock. Now that would look nice! And one other thing, towards the top left you have a small spot where it looks like you used the Mosiac filter.. ditch that. :)
Other than that, its an excellent piece of work. It reminds me of the loading screens in Morrowind, lol.
