This reminds me a lot of the old bryce renders we got around here a couple years ago. What you should do is try to model something and work really hard on it rather than doing a random shard-esque piece.

The renders themselves are not smooth, kind of blocky, needs more 2d work (it doesn't make sense with random 3d work). Nice try though mate.

Thanx I actually can do non-random but I chose to and I don' like the fact that you all are talking down to me like this... I personaly like the white background... it gives a clean look. And as far as the "blocky" render it was done purposle to give a sort of ribbon effect...Art is objective!!!

Maybe you could come up with something like this a couple of years ago. That time is over. This is only a beginning. I advice you to take a look at deviantart.com browse through the tutorial section there (resources > tutorials) and try to updo your skills. Keep in mind most of the times wallpapers don't have a plain white background, strange color changes (polar coordinates) and do have smoother objects.
