Artist's Note
Inspired by the trailer from the movie 'House of Flying Daggers'.
The foreground trees were modelled in Wings3D imported into Bryce and rendered in three different modes (colour, depth and mask). Compositing and special effects were applied in Photoshop to complete the image.

the rendering itself looks quite realistic and the coloring is well done, but the letterbox presentation doesn't seem to suite well.
