Artist's Note
first of it's kind
I finally managed to sum up some free time, a little bit of inspiration and all what is left of my painting skills - this is the result! It's been nearly 8 month since my last wallpaper and I already doubted I could do this ever again, but I guess I was wrong.
Inspiration and reference was the picture database of the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. For a few words on the subject see the preview.
The DOWNLOAD contains 2 different versions: "dawn" and "bluesky", each version comes in resolutions:
1920, 1600, 1280, 1024

I am a huge NASA fan, I got patches, hats, mugs, sweatshirts, models. This is a kick ass wallpaper... Not that I mind, being a Canuckian and all, couldnt help but notice no American flag ;)

The clouds and the two variations you made are fantastic. Wonderful combinations. I am impressed by the detail and perfect layers on the shuttle. The only thing is the high contrast on the cockpit. Itīs the only part where i can see and believe that those were single layers once... itīs really beautiful how they blend into each other on the wings and the whole object. Once again... you do nothing else then making me jelaouse.

Very well done. I also have a fascination with the space shuttle and the many forms it's taken.
