j3 thought of the idea of a grunge-tech crossover piece, something different. We've been working on this for quite while so its been through a fair bit of development (j3 developed some of his ideas from this piece into the "ego war" pack). I spent alot of time on trying to get the right effect in terms of the scope of texturing, and j3 of course added loads of subtle details which brought the whole piece together. He also put together a browner version which solely plays with the colour and detailing, just gotta love pink and brown. Original photo was taken by Aphaits.

as far as wallpapers go, this is what the people want. people want this kind of wall on their desktop and i'm inclined to agree. i would use this wallpaper for an extended period. that's all i have to say i suppose.

An excellent peice of work. For all the qualms I have with this sort of nonsensical techy-overlay type stuff, it just works so damn well, here. "Made from 100% recycled ideas," it made me chortle, a little.

i love this wall. i hope this pops up all over the other sites (neowin, gfxoasis, aquasoft). i hope all or your (headvoid, j3) works show up all over the custo world. people will shout these names from various rooftops using various levels of vocal intensity. proclamations will be made.

:) grungie love. I really love how you put those pink bits. Kinda like a weird contrast but a very J3 piece. Congrats to both of you on the feature (woohoo). I don't fully agree with mojo to "this is what the people want" bit, grunge is an exotic delicacy, but this kind of experimentation is just what custo users need to do.
