its a pretty nice pic. Seen better sky pics though, but this hass nice composition and movement. It has nice, clear and comfy to look at lines in it

Looks to be a nice sunset coming on, no way this deserves a 2 or a 5, hence my high rate. At least he was looking up and being thoughtful, and it's not a bad ambient sort of shot. Little to dark, maybe take it into ps and play up the strengths

What's wrong with using a photo? Taking a good picture requires as much or more skill than manipulating one, and with photography, you've got a limited window of opportunity. you can't go back on a photo and change Layer 7 of it three months down the road because you're still not happy with it.
