In times like these we don't need to a desktop that reflects the excessive amount of processes that a computer can run. Rather we look for minimalistic desktop, or clear cut. This desktop deems to be full of clutter beyond no end with both a full startmenu, taskbar, and seconday taskbar. Maybe next time you should give something that doesn't depend entirely on the serene background.

I don't think anyone should judge this submission for the clutter that this person has on his desktop, but rather on just the Visual Style. It appears to be a VS based on WA5 and it looks as though he has accomplished that. And to say "we" look for minimal desktops is not true at all, many people like the modern techy look. That being said, since this is a VS submission, it would have been nice to see a window open.

interesting how you made the start button do double-duty as the system clock. the styling needs some refinement, but nice to see you're thinking outside the (minimal, orange and grey) box :D

Looks to me to be *very* similar to a desktop for Talisman 2.8. And if that is the case then he did a very good job of porting it into a VS. Especially considering that Talisman does not just patch uxtheme but rather replaces the shell and uses a stinking boatload of .ini files. So, if this is how he did it. Congrats...great port.

There is room for improvement but I like this style. Nice work. Don't like those minimalistic styles

You really need to try the vs before commenting. The clock start button, double taskbar, etc., are NOT part of the style, they are just part of the author's personal clutter. The style is quite nice, an accurate port of teh WA skin, there are a few "seams" to fix, but I like it. What this needs is some refinement, and a screenie that more accurately reflects what the vs looks like (including an explorer window).
