this is a solid, professional visual style. it has bold colors, solid lines and borders, and is a complete package. all systems are go.

You will probably get some people bashing this because its not the current style or trend around here, but this is a solid VS. Very nice work. update: Hypocrits... when KoL does a VS with bevels everyone bows to him, but if someone else does it, its "so 1998".

there are 3 trends right now. (1) Maculation (2) Aero (3) SuperMinimal, and this fits none of them. Guilty pleasure for sure. Got bored at the scrollbars eh :P @dios It fits with all the "BOING" "omg i cream" posts under a mac port

chronic maculation can lead to wrist cramps, so watch out. this style is cool, i like the bold color scheme.

Oh boy, here I go. It's not the style that bothers me here. It's an interesting and valid style. The problem I have with this are the graphics. For some reason, it just looks like graphics an amatuer at photoshop would come up with. Just the crude bevels and shadows thats all.

it looks great, and I understand if you have put of lot of time on it. But bevels are so 1998.

umm... nice effort, but I don't personally see the "feature"ability. The graphics aint that great, the red doesn't match the purple (it aint quite blue) or the beige, and the sytyle is nothing new. Sorry, but obviously I'm missing something...

The toolbar bitmaps/push buttons/taskband buttons, and the list boxes, they look pretty good. The meat of this one, though, comes off.....well...bad. The overdone depth cues really do transmit as 'I just discovered layer styles'. The garish red/blue colorscheme only compounds as they both tend to over-darken to almost blackness; it gives the whole thing a really murky feel. Which, I don't think is what you were going for. You seem to have gotten a little over ambitious with the msstyle limitations in those curved corners, as well, creates a noticeable scrollbar offsetting break. I think, at worst, with some tweaks, this could be a pretty nicely done take on a style that.....well....I guess isn't really interesting.

It's a good color scheme and a decent presention but I agree with ikonklast in the sense that we have to move on from bevels which is what a majority of the wb skins seem to be made up of. You dont have to be minimal nor go with the mac look or that longhorn crap just find a happy in between. To me bevels cheapen the look of a vs.

I like it, then again I'm a Buffalo Bills fan. The only problem I see is some of the red elements got the glass treatment while others remain flat. Once upon a time I did a blue and red style for stylexp and Litestep and was hated by all. Maybe its the color combos people don't like. Again I like it.

I totally agree with Max. I got sick of WB because of the beveled, bubbled gloss look. I feel like a VS should be like a great smelling chapstick.. You know how some chapstick smells so good it makes your mouth water, you want to eat it? But you can't because it's chapstick. Well, I think a VS should be the same way. EYE CANDY!
