I've gotta say this is an incredibly well done VS. This review probably will not to this VS justice. I can see why you stressed about the font changes, i tried it without and my "all programs" button got messed hardcore. Top notch work all round. Can I go out on a limb and ask for color options? I know its a pain, but that option would make this one of the top used skins on my desktop, and probably for others as well. Excellent work, the effort and dedication shows.

Poor you, releasing your visual style just after HeyLove's! This is really good work though - it reminds me of Bose's stuff. Very useable, too. My dad can't read the small writing on most VS's. ^^;

The VS itself is faithful to its promise of being a "modern classic" - a good blend of old Windows styles and a more modern look. It has all the useability of Luna without the unfortunate side effects (read: ugliness) that come with that default VS. The wallpapers are not all to my taste; most feature the Windows logo too prominently (although that can be easily edited). Some of the walls in the pack seem downright random, like the one with the ship that seems to have some 3D rendering in it. I could have done without that one. The one you show in the preview shot above fits perfectly with the idea of the VS, though - a mix of old and new. All in all, the great effort shows. By the way, you get extra points (I won't say how many) for doing your own thing and not riding the wave of the latest trends. Right on.

i, like myndfucht, probably won't use but i'll dl it incase i ever want to. really well done and smooth. it reminds me of summer. perrupa: did you install the fonts? if you read the upper case text in the note and ready j3's comment you'd know to install them.

I love the style and colours but for some reason the "all programs" on the start menu is not displaying correctly. It looks as if the image for the all programs menu item is misalligned...
Awesome skin though, beatiful.

Edit: the reason for "all programs" on the start menu not displaying correctly was I hadn't installed the included fonts, my bad :)

Looks, and feels very complete. Not something I'd generally be using, but for all those still stuck on the "windows" look, this is one heck of a theme.

I love it. I'm using it now, and I think it's great. I supposed some other colors would be nice, but I think it's a great visual parody of Luna. I also really dig the completeness of the pack.

I haven't seen it remarked that VXP incorporates the advanced Microsoft screen fonts, still in development and not generally available. You have to appreciate the fonts to really like this visual style.

I see only two small defects. (I guess each lost one point.) One I think has been discussed: the blue might be too dark. (It would be great if only white lettering occurred on the blue, but I don't know if the visual styles give the designer that degree of control.) The second is that the changing control on the controls seem to follow a pattern, which is good; but that pattern is violated in one instance, which is not good. It seems that generally blue is an inactive button; yellow/orange is an activated button; and where applicable, green (appropriately a shade intermediate between blue and yellow) is a button in the process of getting activated. But this pattern is unfortunately abandoned for the "All Programs" button, where it should be green when it is yellow and should be yellow when it is green.

Good god people read the README!! You have to install the fonts for the ALL PROGRAMS thing to disappear!

Anyway, how do I get the trillian skin to work? That's NOT in the README!
